Trio of Middle Georgia athletes commit to colleges

Three Middle Georgia athletes have committed to colleges ahead of their senior year in high school.

Stories from around middle c1 3 b13 i've got more on that next in sports ... welcome back.

Alright middle georgia we've had a trio of local athletes recently commit to their college of choice let's start off with central q-b jalik thomas thomas has committed to arkansas state ... he's out of the class of 2021 he picked arkansas state over schools like mercer, georgia southern and ball state jalik's a dual-threat quarterback with exceptional speed he threw for over 2,000 yards and 20 td's in 8 games at quarterback last year he's versatile enough to play any skill position at the next level he was also named first team all region here's jalik on the mic :01-:06 what led to the commitment to arkansas state was, i had visited up there recently and i really like the vibe that i got up there.

They have really nice facilities.

Really nice coaches, you know, and i feel like i'll have a better chance of reaching my goal playing defensive back, so that's what led to the commitment to arkansas state sticking with central ... star forward quay primas is staying in macon he announced on twitter that he's committed to mercer... quay had offers from charleston southern, north carolina a&t and florida gulf coast now this kid is a walking double-double quay averaged just over 24 points and 14 rebounds his junior season ... he was named co-player of the year and helped lead the chargers to an elite 8 appearance in the state playoffs he's going to do big things at mercer ... he'll also be joining former westside star javian mosley ... bleckley county quarterback dominic sasser is heading to carleton college in northfield, minnesota after he graduates in 2021 he shared the good news on twitter last night ... dominic threw for a school record 1,579 yards and 16 touchdowns his junior year he also rushed for three td's he was named 2nd team all region and all-state honorable mention... he's been putting in work during the offseason and is hoping to finish his senior year strong here's bleckley county head coach von lassiter on dominic ... :01-:06 they're getting a really smart player.

A guy that works extremely hard.

Top notch character.

A kid that, uh, you know, one that wants to do the very best he can.

Not for himself, but for his team.

He's just a kid that has worked extremely
