Could help "attract more customers" for downtown terre haute businesses.

It comes..

As they struggle "with covid-19".

"restaurants" will be able "to extend their outdoor seating" into some downtown streets.

This is "part of wabash avenue" spanning portions of the blocks between 4th and 7th streets.

"the board of public works" approved this measure "this morning".

It allows businesses to have "more seating" and "distancing".

"restaurants" serving liquor "will have barriers".

Right now..

This is a "3"-week basis "starting this weekend".

But..

"the board" could extend it.

The owner "of the verve" was helped with this proposal.

And she hopes this helps people feel "safe".
