Court documents say on may 23rd of last year, lafayette police were called to a home on kenosha court for a residential entry complaint.
Police said jasper was the suspect.
He also had a valid protection order in place, keeping him from contacting the woman who lives there.
Investigators determined an adult male, ryan martin, who lived at the home was missing.
Later that night, police searched jasper's apartment.
That's where the body of ryan martin was found in a closet.
