United Way kicks off 2020 fundraising campaign

This year's kick-off was held virtually due to COVID-19

Is to raise money for united way (and over 20 partner agencies.

However, this year, the kick-off event was held virtually due to covid 19.

The event featured musical performances from local musicians like bruce barker, the piano man, and the ruckus band.

The event also featured interviews with people who were helped by united way, as well as plenty of pies to the face.

Matt metzger is the 20-20 united way campaign chair.

He says it's important to keep the united way campaign going.

Our partner agencies depend on us to be there.

And quite honestly, the community rallies around it.

In these broken times within our local, state and national area.

We need to rally together, and this is our positive way to do that.

Metzger says if you decide to donate, there is a match for any new contribution of a hundred dollars or more.
