The Democratic Socialists of America propose more specific requests for defunding police budgets here.

Socialsts's of america is offering a more concrete plan for chattanooga's city council to reconsider.

Earlier this summer, the dsa requested money from the police budget to be redirected to other places around the city.

The organization fell short of their goals after the majority of city council voted to maintain the poplice budget.

Now, dsa is hoping for the budget to be amended co- chair katie keel tells news 12 that the budget what areas of funding could be redirected.
