Monday Morning, the Board of Public Works approved continued street closures downtown.

For testing.

Organizers of the 'eat in the streets initiative' in downtown terre haute say the first weekend was a success thanks to your support.

Now, they're ready to keep it going.

This morning, the "board of public works" approved continued street closures downtown.

It allows restaurants to expand their seating into wabash avenue for more weekends.

Organizers say they need community support with the impact of the pandemic.

"this really helps...helps us on the bottom line at least for a little while.

I'm just hoping that those in the community will not only support us, but support all the small businesses that are just trying to keep their heads above water and make a living."

These events will be consecutive weekends until november 7th, unless there's bad weather.

They will take place all day
