Boilermaker officials say results are coming in after participants completed the race virtually this year.
Jason powles didn't get to call the race but he is here in studio with a finish like no other in boilermaker history.

Running or even being a part of the best 15k in the country istrulye would say life altering... along those lines....its safe to say covid-19 has been a life altering experience as well... it altered the boilermaker to become a virtual race this year....this is video of folks that ran the race on the second sunday in july... race officials tell us for this year's 15k....4,338 people registered.
2,023 people submitted their times.
That includes wheelchairs participants.
For the 5k 1,005 people registered and 389 people submitted times.
Richard powell from houston texas has the fastest time of 49:07.
The top women's finisher is jessie cardin from gardner massachusetts at a time of 53:45.

Race director jim stasaitis it was tough to pull this all off.
Its been a challenge for everybody..first we postponed then we had to transition intoae had great support from the community and the runners and i want to thank them for sticking with us and helping support the system.
Going forward we have the nys race off that the boilermaker is putting on check out website for that keep your momentum going.
Stasaitis says they are already looking ahead to next year...and as long as they get the ok they are going full bore for 2021.
Yes kristen in person race day...and wouldn't it be nice to be back at the finish line on the second sunday in july?
