State police say two people staying overnight on a boat at Sylvan Beach succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning
Say a woman is dead and a manise poisoning on a boat.
Troopers say blair dodge from central square and william lashomb of bridgeport were staying on the boat overnight and succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning.
Dodge was pronounced dead on the scene, lashomb was initially transported to oneida hospital.
He has since been airlifted to upstate university hospital in syracuse and is listed in critical condition.
Investigators are attempting to determine if the carbon monoxide came from the boat engine or a portable space heater, which was located on the boat.
