In the drone video, captured on Jiaozhou Bay Bridge in Shandong Province on October 1, thousands of vehicles queued in a more than 10-kilometre-long traffic jam to exit the city.

The National Day of People's Republic of China and the Mid-Autumn Festival are both on October 1 this year and the holiday will last for eight days until October 8.
