After effects of the Almeda and South Obenchain Fires

Today, the Jackson County Board of Commissioners talked with an expert about some of the after effects that the county could be facing from the Almeda and South Obenchain fires.

Meetingthis morning it would bet places near the south obenchain fire could be facing some new dangers over the next few years.

Now reva feldman is recommending that jackson county prepare for the after effects of these fires as winter rains draw closer.

The actual things, sand bags and kay rail, um, but heavy equipment and heavy equipment that is staged throughout your community.

These are things you need to be inspecting now today, um, and preparing your residents that this could happen."

But what makes these natural disasters so deadly is the fact that you can't see them coming.

And this may not be the only time that these areas could be seen mud or landslides in the future.
