CBI carried out searches on the premises of Congress Leader DK Shivakumar at 14 locations in connection with an alleged corruption case.
Nine of the properties are based in Karnataka, four in New Delhi, and one in Mumbai.
Congress activists staged protests in Mallikatta in Mangalore, Karnataka state with tricolored flags of the Indian National Congress.
A huge gathering can be seen chanting slogans protesting the raid on his properties.
Mithun Rai, the President of the Youth Congress in Dakshina Kannada, can be seen speaking from his car while driving out through the crowd.
Rai stated: "We will not be scared by the CBI raids.
The BJP leaders are trying to threaten the Kanakapura rock [DK Shivakumar].
We will not give up.
They are trying to attack our President." Apart from DK Shivakumar, premises of his family members and his associates are also being searched.
About Rs 50 lakh (USD $68245) has been seized so far from the 14 locations.
