The rochester public school district is facing overcrowding ?
"* increased enrollment ?
"* and building new schools.
Here's a look at the groundbreakin g of a new elementary school in late august ?
"* one of several building projects the district has in the works.
Barlow comments on the pandemic's impact on enrollment for this school year ?
"* and cook expresses that smaller schools in the future may be a better option.

That does not necessarily relieve us of the burden that we felt in overcrowding in our middle schools and some of our elementary schools.
That remains an ongoing need.
We're on track to open these schools on time and under budget.
It's suspected that having a school with over 100 students in each grade, you're not going to get the same kind of camaraderie and that same connectivity amongst the students or amongst their families.
I just think it's a worse environment for developing empathy and for teachers to have rooms to experiment in the next two weeks ?
