These are the operations carried out by some of the 5,000 Mexican soldiers after Hurricane Delta caused extensive flooding and property damage.The actions are part of an operation dubbed Plan DN-III-E which was announced by Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, 66, at a conference on Tuesday 6th October.The plan, which is also known as the Civil Relief and Aid Plan for Disasters, are actions taken by the Mexican armed forces to help citizens, both locally and in some cases abroad, after natural disasters or ones caused by human activity.The announcement came just one day before Hurricane Delta made landfall on the Yucatan Peninsula affecting the popular tourist spot of Riviera Maya on the Caribbean coast in the early hours of yesterday (Wednesday).There have been no reports of casualties.The videos show members of the Mexican armed forces help locals in various capacities with one video showing several officers carrying an injured man across a flooded area to a residence with higher ground.
