Kimt news three's calyn thompson joins us now with her story.xxx you would never know cyndi nardiello was sick by looking at her... she and her daughter elyse are using this difficult experience to raise awareness about bone marrow transplants and the power of becoming a donor.
Cyndi was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia back in march.
In may ?
"* she uprooted her life to get treatment at mayo clinic.
Doctors treated cyndi with chemotherapy.
Once she was in remission, they thought a bone marrow transplant would be her next best chance.
Besides being considered a good candidate for a transplant, there's the task of finding a donor.
Turns out, her donor ended up being her daughter.xxx elyse: literally before the doctors even did a test, i know i'm it.
I had that feeling right away cyndi: and of course i'm so excited to have my daughter because i know that she's had a good, healthy lifestyle.
I've been around her so i know i gotta safe, good chance and having it the most healthy person of giving me the bone marrow.
These two are very close and very similar.
Take a look at these baby pictures they shared with me... you can't even tell who is who.
Cyndi and elyse look the same even today and now will forever be bonded by this transplant./// thank you calyn.

Family services of rochester worked with two rivers habitat for humanaty to build bob a new ramp.
After finding out his flag pole was vandalized and knocked down by kids in the area, habitat for humanity surprised veteran bob with a new pole in addition to the ramp building.

The university of minnesota is changing spring break plans at its five campuses because of the coronavirus.
University leaders are moving the weeklong vacation from march to april for twin cities and rochester students and spreading the days across the semester for those attending in duluth, morris and crookston.
