Suny chancellor walked into suny poly to introduce quite the proposition to suny campus across the state.

Where we will be providing 10, ten thousand dollar grants to develop the latest innovative technology relating to the students and faculty when it comes to the covid-19 response."
Suny poly is one of the schools that will be applying for one of those grants.in this lab on campus, students and faculty used 3-d printing to develop face sheilds that have been shipped across the state.
Materials malatras says are still in demand.
"we're not out of the woods yet.
We're seeing a second wave in many parts of the country.
Sometimes the wave hasn't even come down in other parts of the country.
You're seeing a resurgence in some of the clusters in new york state.
So we need to keep up with meeting the challenge of covid."
Interim president grace wang also showed chancellor malatras their testing system, one malatras described as efficient.
"they have conducted 3500 tests and had only one positive case, so it shows that ongoing repeated surveillance testing does help monitor the covid 19 situation."
Malatras says applications are to be submitted online to the suny provost office by november 15th.
Grants will be awarded to the winners on december 15th.
