The governor was tested after learning the State Health Commissioner had tested positive for the virus.

We reported wednesday, dr. kristina box announced over the phone that she, and a few family members, tested positive for covid-19.

She made the announcement during the weekly state health department press conference.

This positive diagnoses prompted many state government staff members to get tested.

Governor holcomb was (one of them.

Holcomb received (both the abbott rapid test (and a p-c-r test.

Both tests came back negative.

In a press release sent to the newsroom just over an hour ago the governor said quote: the coronavirus does not discriminate, and this highlights the importance of wearing masks and social distancing.
