The next one amantha didion spoke with a group today, who is collecting and distributing items for kids and teens.
Sam says: two local organizations are teaming up together to provide kids impacted by the fires with bikes and helmets.
Rogue valley strong kid's bike drive and southern oregon cares for kids are accepting both old and new bikes.
They are working with a repair shop to fix up any small damages old bikes may have.
Bike donation pick-ups are available once a week and will be announced on the rogue valley strong kid's bike drive's facebook page.
Co-founder of the bike drive, christine rio says their mission is to give kid's what they consider a childhood must have.
Christine: "we could help enrich a child's life.
We do find great value and importance in children having bikes and that being apart of a childhood.
Storage units are filled with bikes in central point, bend, and ashland.
The bikes will be given to kids during the organization's main event on december 10th and 11th at arbor house in talent.
Volunteers will be matching kids with bikes based on their age and height.
The donations are being accepted at 301 east main street in medford.
