Rotor blade of Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad's helicopter was damaged at the Patna airport.
The chopper flew Prasad to a rally in poll-bound Bihar.
The incident took place after RS Prasad disembarked from the aircraft.
The blades had reportedly hit an overhead wiring at a construction site.
Prasad had gone to Madhubani for campaigning for the NDA.
Later, the union minister's office tweeted informing that the minister was 'safe and sound'.
RS Prasad was in Bihar to campaign for state assembly polls.
Bihar elections will be conducted in three phases starting October 28.
Results of the state assembly polls will be declared on November 10.
