Action News Now reporter Amy Lanski takes us to Miller Mansion to see what they are doing to get ready for Halloween.
Lanski spoke to a tennant who is getting it ready.
Amy stand: "i am here at the miller mansion and i spoke to one of the tennants here and he said the main concern is preserving the historical integrity of the mansion."
Wade davis: "we are just making sure the artifacts we have been able to locate on the property are taken care of and preserved."
Wade davis has lived on the property for about six months and says he wants to bring back some history for the people of chico.
"there is a lot of history here and there's a lot of feelings from chico is what i feel i just researched a lot of stuff and i know people miss a lot of things here and it should not be such a mystery."
Davis is dying the water in the fountain red... with dye that will not harm the fountain at all..
He also got a large pumpin to make a scarecrow... but that's not all.
"there's just different things i found around the property, and utilization of a lot of materials, from the property."
Amy stand: "davis says some of the decorations you see like this cat skeleton were donated by different people."
"friends and i have got some different donations from different businesses that want to help."
One girl who was visiting the property says she loves the decorations.
"because it is october today and i am very very excited, it is s cool."
Amy stand: "davis says they are hoping to have the whole thing ready by october 27th, amy lanski, action news now, coverage you can count on.
Davis says they would love to do a drive-through trick-or-treat... but it won't happen unless they know they have the support of the community.
