Lexington Police remove survey 102020

Removed an online public survey it posted last week.

According to the department, the decision to take the survey down was because of resident's concerns over the format... how the questions were worded and the lack of more scaled response options.

The survey was asking for opinions on how the department treats people and its effectiveness in solving crime -- along with other issues... like homelessness, mental illness, and the police department budget.

The department says the survey recieved over 2000 responses since going live friday.

The responses were compiled by researchers at new york university and not lexington police.

The department says, it will look for other ways to gather feedback
