Powell's new book "Sins of the Fathers," a novel of redemption set in Georgia in the 1860s

We're glad to have you back here as we continue on let's chat's it is tuesday sins of the fathers available.

The new book and this is a historical novel based in georgia.

Brian powell is the guy who wrote this book in brian we say first of all, welcome to the show tell me, is this your firs book ... no it's not 20, and i appreciate you, and talk with you.

We've done this a couple times and it's always a fun experience tell me what led you to do.

Let me back up a minute give us the premise behind this book sends of ... this was the first historical fiction.

I do a lot of book signings in i.

I have a friend see murder and tree, and i have a lot of other choices as people say, well i did his fiction well okay that's why i don't carry so that was the root of why shows the historical fiction, you know, most stories have a a line that you can either put it in today's storyline the future: no sci-fi, but in the past: his fiction so i wanted to use and i i said back in 1864 and i chose to have my characters as a little boring pirates in this involving confederate goal so well know it.

One thing into another.

And this book is based in georgia.

Telus where in georgia is its actual location is is a town that you made up going to that force a little yeah i i research as to where i might put the the storyline and and out with it being historical.

I choose distant town of i 85.

It actually is right next door to wrestle and the interesting thing that the houston brothers started this little town and one of the two brothers had a daughter married a guy named rasmussen.

Thus, you have houston side-by-side so well.

I did a lot of research as to where training locations where the bones were in just one paragraph without having to go into my search engine and see if that was true were that was my made up so it's historically accurate.

I was essay a lot of people, maybe even most people really know how much research goes into writing a novel of this magnitude.

I mean, it's no just of you can make up because of you.

Make it up.

Somebody picks up on it within the first two or three pages and that first domino hits.

The second hits the third and so on.

So congratulations on having the dedication to be able to do that kind of tying consuming research and i know it certainly is take the regular award for reading tempted fiction, to our questio tell us about the award and tel us exactly what redemptive fiction is the question on i gave it to me.

He's his name is peter young husband and amazingly peter is a grandfather so easy is the young husband grandfather all it is in australia and i he picked up on my c-series years ago when you read all down and they were award-winning and he gave him the wrist and redemption award and so when i posted this.

When i he said i would like to read it and and so he did.

And you know it you're always you're only as good as your last home run right and so you know i send to him.

I'm thinking you know i buy the bases because the know and i hate to disappoint myself him him his expectations.

He was very pleased with it and he has a scale of several points that you have to hit on in order to get the award right we have to ride but i want i asked very quickly 15 seconds.

Where can we get th book ... you can get it at the author brian powell at my my my site is author brian hold the wordpress.com it's on amazon or any of lace eyed sounds good brian.
