Haute City Center cancels it's Trunk-or-Treat Event

Organizers say they will not be able to host this event while having people stay socially distanced.

Up an initiative to support downtown businesses amid the pandemic is still underway.

"eat in the streets" is happening on the weekends in terre haute.

The city has approved closures for "wabash avenue" through early november.

This allows businesses to extend outdoor seating into the street.

Organizers say they're making decisions to have "eat in the streets" on a weekend-by-weekend basis.

However, they hope to extend the opportunity for the spring.
