Evansville Leaders Announce Restrictions on Fan Attendance for Winter Sports

With the winter sports season starting in a few weeks..
Adjustments had to be made in order for the basketball..
Swimming..
And wrestling seasons to proceed.
The biggest changes announced..
A major decline in the amount of fans in the stands at home games in evansville.
For basketball and wrestling..
2 tickets are alotted for each student athlete..
And that also includes essential personnel such as cheerleaders and student managers.
As for swimming competitions held at lloyd pool..
No fans will be permitted due to not enough seating.
Other rules that will stay consistent are the use of masks..
Social distancing..
And following safety guidelines.
When asked about potential postponements due to a potential covid-19 outbreak..
Plans are ready if needed "we're in orange, and we want to continue to play.
Everyone behind me wants to continue to play, our students do.
Hopefully we can model what needs to be done in our gymnasium, we'll continue to get back in to the community so the numbers will go down.
Because yes i look at that with an abundance of caution, and say can we continue to play in the right way?
