The Christ Child Society providing free winter coats for kids in Fort Wayne
One local organization is helping children stay warm during the winter season.
Fox 55's brianna dahlquist spoke with the christ child society of fort wayne to see how they're going above and beyond for those in need this year.
During this pandemic, even some basic needs are going unmetjanet dider with the christ child society says no matter how hard life gets, no child shouldgo without a coat.
"there is no judgment with this.
Absolutely no judgment.
If that child needs a coat, that child is going to get a coat."

Families can contact the organization for a brand-new winter coat, mittens, hat, and scarf for up to three kids per family.
Didier says usually they would personally deliver the coats to the schools, but covid-19 has changed that this year.
"we're working through the fraternal order of police.
They have been awesome in delivering coats to the school."
Local mom amy carpenter says this organization is a huge blessing to parents in the mist of the times we're living in.
"maybe someone is praying and crying out to god for a need and this organization just shows up."
Didier says they are inspired to keep doing the lord's work, even during a pandemic.
"enps isn't working but she mentions volunteers and why they keep going though they need help.
Carpenter says no matter what a family is going through, having support from the community is what will get us through trying times.
"it's humbling to ask for help but i pray that every family.
Not sure what she says but that's the sot i'm going to use."
