Morning Brew: Hotel Honors Women/ Veteran rescues Fire Victims
In c1 3 washington, d-c, seeks to not only house women ... but empower them.
The 191-room hotel zena opened less than a month ago, and it's already getting lots of buzz on social media for this installment.
Artists from all over the world contributed to the design of the hotel, as well as local d-c artists.
The hotel spokesperson says the most popular piece of art...is a mural of ruth bader ginsburg..made out of 20-thousand organic, hand painted tampons.

He rushed into a house fire in salem illinois to pull them out of the flames.
Marshall helm says he was waived down by a bus driver..taking his grandughter to be picked up for school..
He says he immediately ran to a side door to the garage and pushed it open.
Officials say the fire was in the garage..but he was able to get by and get to the owners who were in bed asleep!
Helm woke them up..but when they went to escape..he says the way they came in was blocked.
But they found a way around.
Helm says he'd do it all again..if he needed to.
Marshall helm: "they could have died and then, i don't want to think about it."

The benjamins lost nearly everything in the fire..
