Joseph has fallen victim to covid-19.
Sot: ann lachowitzer, bishop leblond principal "yesterday we received word that a couple of students had tested postive" bishop leblond high school responding to the news promptly, conducting contract tracing immediatlety that determined to have about 40 students that would need to quarantine sot: ann lachowitzer, bishop leblond principal "based on that, and some additional information that we received this morning, about another possible, positive case, we made the decision to move to virtual.
In the hopes to avoid a possible outbreak."
The positive cases were made aware of over the weekend, but the school did not announce the news until after the bell rang on monday morning, allowing the remainder of the student body in the building...sot: ann lachowitzer, bishop leblond principal "they (teachers) really wanted the opportunity to see the kids that weren't in quarantine, to have an opportunity to set some new expections and get them the materials that they need."
Leaving one parent very upset that their child was possibly exposed...sot: anonymous parent of bishop leblond students "somebody needs to know, you can't just keep quiet.
This isn't one of those things that you can just cover-up.
This is our community.
This is our children.
And parents like me, who are very ill, and can get very ill very quick.
It's very unfair."
Bishop leblond's goal is to keep everybody healthy and keep them in school, saying if we can do that, then we will win sot: ann lachowitzer, bishop leblond principal "hopefully this will be the only time we have to do this.
