These states are considered red...and according to the governor..that's nearly half the state.
The steps the governor is recommending might remind you of some given when the pandemic first began.

Asks red zone counties to reduce contacts governor beshear sounding the alarm of another spike of the virus... "gov: the scale and the speed of the growth of this third escalation is faster than either of the previous two."
This time..he's implementing small scale changes county by county instead of statewide restrictions.
And it's only a suggested plan for counties seeing the highest community spread...the red zone counties on the state's incidence rate maps.

If more people would follow these restrictions we wouldn't need to take additional steps."
Counties with incidence rates of at least 25 cases per 100,000 are considered in the red.
The governor is recommending that employers in those counties allow employees to work from home when possible.
People are asked to reduce in-person shopping and dining- in at restraurants and bars an important one to watch with halloween around the corner people are asked not to host or attend gatherings of any size and to reduce overall activities and contacts.

Scott county is one of the counties in the red this week...home to popular restaurant...red state b-b-q.
Owner david carroll says since this is a state "recommendation" and not a mandate...he'll have to see how customers react.
His biggest fear is for thanksgiving if gatherings aren't allowed...he wonders if people will still buy red state's signature deep fried turkeys?
"dr. stack: i gotta tell you it is not a good time to be out in public.
This is the most dangerous it has been in 8 months."
The incidence rate map is updated daily on the state's covid-19 website.
