Officer Involved Shooting

Chattanooga Police say an officer shot a suspect who was waiving a handgun in a threatening manner.

Say a suspect is in the hospital after an officer-involved shooting.

According to authorities, a woman was hiding from a man armed with a gun at the elements apartment complex off standifer gap road.

C-p-d confirms an officer encountered the armed suspect, who was waving a hand gun in a threatening manner.

The officer then shot him.

The suspect is now suffering from life threatening injuries.

I woke up to a sound of like metal being thrown on metal.

I thought it was the contruction across the street because it's been happening for a while.

I wake up sometimes from it.

Come to find out, what i heard was three gunshots going off and then later on i see sirens coming in throguh my bedroom window.

All officers involved have now been placed on administrative leave.
