Many of us want to track our ballot to make sure it counts.
Kimt news 3's jeremy wall is live outside the olmsted county government center with more, jeremy.
Katie, tracking isn't complicated at all.
Earlier i spoke with mark krupski, the director of property records and licensing who told me it is easy to track your ballot.
He has great confidence in the process.
Krupski tells me each day at 1pm, the county does an absentee ballot board.
During that time a ballot will either get accepted or rejected.
According to a cbs news study, in the primary elections held during the pandemic in five key battleground states, rejection rates of returned absentee and mail in ballots were under two percent.
Krumpsi explained the tracking system and its accuracy.
When we recieve it, we open it up and varify the information on that is correct and varify that we actually mailed a person a ballot, it's accepted, and as soon as it's entered in the state system,uh, it's updated, so, it really depends when we do that ballot baord and if that ballot is in that mix of that day's ballot baord would work now it is up to we the voters to make sure our ballot is in on time and to check the secretary of state's website to track it.
Live in rochester, thanks jeremy.
Needless to say, krupski urges us all not to wait until the last
