Car of missing man and body found in pond

The franklin county sheriff confirmed to me earlier a body was found inside the car.

Ethan kazmerzak has been missing since 2013.

On monday, divers with a group called 'adventures with purpose' found the vehicle in a pond which used to be a sand and gravel pit.

The story county dive team helped to remove the vehicle earlier this afternoon.

Human remains were found inside the 2006 volkswagen.

Franklin county sheriff aaron dodd says searchers never gave up trying to solve this case.

"it's an area we focused on seven years ago and it just shows that dilligent efforts pay off and we're happy to get some closure to the family."

Sheriff dodd tells me this particular pond had been searched a few times before.

The adventures with purpose group even searched there about a month ago and found nothing.
