When it comes to predicting the winner of presidential elections, there are many different attempts.
Could be a squirrell eating nuts, or maybe based off the height of the presidential candidates.... with only 8 candidates who are taller having lost since 1900.
Now lil's coffee place in paris kentucky is cooking up something of their own.
Lyra miller/owner: it's just a fun thing rather than the doom and gloom.
Lyra miller is the owner, she says she had no idea the cookies would be so popular.
Lyra miller: we made 50 cookeis and sold out the first day.
She admits she got the idea from a bakery in pennsylvania that has predicted the last 3 elections based on which candidate co more.
She hoped it would be something fun for the community.
Miller: some are buying for themesleves some are buying for people who wont appreciate it but they're jus sticking them to it.
Everyone is talking.
And so far it has been fun, she says no matter what side you're on everyone can rally behind cookies.
Miller: that's what we're all about community, and we'd love for our politician to work together but everyone is enjoying our cookies.
As for the prediction so far?
Miller: trump is up two to 1.
And yes, they are planning on doing this again in 2024... with some minor adjustments.
Miller: yes i'm planning.
