Alex King lays out your options to get your vote in by election day in Fayette or Jessamine counties.

Arrests are possible.

Now to the 20-20 election..

If you haven't received your absentee ballot yet...you won't be able to vote absentee...but you can still vote.

Abc 36's alex king has more on what you should know ahead of election day.

Alex:"election day is right around the corner... and people are continuing to vote early.

We've seen states all across the u.s. dealing with hour long waits but that's not happening here in kentucky in some counties."

Clark county clerk michelle turner says she's a little disappointed in the amount of people who have sent back their mail-in ballots... she expected the number to be higher.

She says fifty eight hundred people returned mail-in ballots.

Michelle:"if anybody has not received their ballot, they need to call us so that we can cancel and they can come in and vote in person.

However, if you did receive you ballot that's how you need to vote."

Turner says people voting in person are waiting about 15 minutes.

As for jessamine county... out of the the nine thousand ballots clerk johnny collier has sent out... eight thousand were returned and in- person voting lines have been about a thirty to forty minute wait.

Johnny:"we have a drop box outside our office here, it's inside the courthouse and anybody can drop their ballots there.

We check that box about three times a day."

Collier says he continues to get several drop off ballots every day... he says at this point that's the safest option for voters.

If you have an absentee ballot and haven't mailed it yet... it must be postmarked by november third.
