As the population rises in roseburg, city officials continue to question how to meet the growing housing needs in the area.
Kezi 9 news reporter evita garza shows us how one property developer is hard at work at a solution.

He is transforming an abandoned building on s-e jackson street into a 34 unit studio apartment complex& for onl* 400 hundred a month.?a lot of developers get so hung up on the money part and the cash flow part.
So i think a little bit different maybe?
Communications specialist eric johnson says they need to build 26 thousand new units in the next 20 years... to house the growing population.
That about 130 units a year.
But with the help of developers like johnanneson& johnson says they expect 300 new units by next year.

He says he has plans to build more apartments complexes that will be big enough to house more families??il have 2 bedroom apartments, 1 bedroom apartments, and the studios?
Johanneson says the project is half way done& and he plans to move in people as early as december.
