Sullivan-Vincennes Lincoln

Terre haute south... the two favorites in the 3a sectional 30 collided tonight in vincennes.

Sullivan and lincoln played a great game last year in the sectionals with the alices winning a thriller 21-20.

And as wild as last year's contest was, the rematch was even better.

1st qtr, tied at zero.

Eric vickers looking for the first down but luke adams is there with the pick for sullivan.

Ensuing arrows drive, luke padgett receives the hand off and is met hard at the goal line.

It's ruled he broke the plane.

Arrows in front 7-0.

2nd qtr, sulivan again inside the alices ten when jaeden king finds paydirt.

Sullivan rolling 14-0.

Alices find some life before the half though as e smith fights off one tackler and runs in for the touchdown.

It's 14-6 sullivan at the half way point.

3rd qtr now, great long drive from lincoln capped off by this vickers to quinn miller td.

Love it when the players celebrate to the camera.

Lincoln trails still 14-12.

Later in the 3rd, great pressure from the alices as rowdy throws this one up for grabs and payton curry makes the incredible interception.

Alices are feeling it now and the juice is loose!

Alices take their first lead 20-14.

4th qtr now, vickers looking deep down field but is picked off by luke adams for the second time.

Wild sequence on the alices goal line.

Rowdy hands the ball off to king but it's fumbled in the exchange and adams picks it up and scores himself.

Sullivan back in front 21-20.

Next lincoln possession vickers to miller but it's tipped and picked off by randy kelley.

That's lincoln's fourth turnover of the game.

Sullivan going for the throat now and this will help.

William newby 42 yards to the house.

Arrows lead 28-20.

Ensuing kickoff, and would you believe it.

I mean you can't write a script better than this.

Lincoln's blake mincey goes 75 yards to the house.

It's suddenly a two point game.

Alices need the two point conversion to tie things at 28 but e smith is sacked by luke padgett and that seals it.
