Restaurant restrictions resume in Illinois Monday
24-hours.
Leaders in indiana and illinois are taking action to stop the spread of the virus at home.
In indiana... the national guard will be deployed to nursing homes across the state tomorrow.
And... in illinois... bars and restaurants will be required to close to indoor dining.
News 10's richard solomon picks up our coverage here with more on the changes coming to the land of lincoln.
"do you think you're business will survive a second shutdown?
That's a tough one, it's hard to tell.
Um, i don't know."
This is the last time the reflections family restaurant will be open for in person dining.
You can see how much pain this brings owner diego herrera.
"it's scary because today's our last day, that's all we have.
Im going to try to keep everybody working, the crew that i have right now, and we'll see how that goes."
A shutdown is a reality he and many illinois businesses face yet again.
Governor j.b.
Pritzker ordered covid-19 restrictions for all illinois counties in the wabash valley as case numbers rise.
"we were shut down for 3 1/2 months the first time.
Business dropped about 80-90% and there was no money, i mean at all."
The restrictions are in place for bars and restaurants.
There will be no more indoor service -- only curbside... and outdoor dining until 11pm.
It's devastating for herrera... as he'll have to take a huge step back once again..
"door closes" he closes this door to the public for the last time.
Herrera hopes it's not forever.
"i've invested so mant years in this business, not just me but my wife and my kids.
You can't just let it go i mean so im going to do my best to just keep it going, and im hopefuly things work out."
