A Thick layer of toxic foam was seen floating on the yamuna near delhi's ito wednesday morning.
The river froths up due to toxic effluents discharged into it and this is extremely hazardous to people living near the river bed or consuming the water.
Experts say detergents are one of the main causes for these clouds developing on the water surface.
