Huntsville police investigate double shooting

This afternoon - we're still monitoring a story we first brought you as breaking news at midday.
Huntsville police are investigating a double shooting in north huntsville - that sent two people to the hospital.
In the last few hours, we learned from emergency personnel tell us one is in very serious condition and the other has minor injuries.
Police tell us the shooting happened near the intersection of wilson and stanley drives - near sonnie hereford elementary school.
The victims were found about a half mile away at the huntsille utilties payment location on pulaski pike.
We want to get to waay 31's sydney martin who is live in the area now - after police spent hours on scene.
Dan, najahe- huntsville police investigators left xx long ago, but officers are still heavily patrolling this area as the elementary school is nearby - and police believe the suspect or suspects left this area on foot.
Huntsville police, fire and rescue as well as hemsi responded to the huntsville utilites payment location on pulaski pike around nine forty-five this morning.
Police tell us a man and woman in their 20's were found in a car with multiple gunshot wounds.
Hemsi officials say both were taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Huntsville utitlies told us neither shooting victim is associated with the payment location..
Police spent hours on wilson and stanley drives talking with neighbors and working to learn more about what led up to the shooting.
Crime scene tape blocked off the area - as the school was put on secure perimeter for less than an hour.
That means no one was allowed onto the campus or outside.
We talked to one neighbor who heard the commotion - and told us she's thankful no on else was hurt.

And try to look if they're around here, especially for us like it's just like it's hard to think it's not safe no more.
This afternon police haven't released a motive- but tell me they believe it's an isolated incident.
