City is reporting its third highest single day increase in coronavirus cases.

<none> ... the lexington- fayette county health department reported 152 new cases that is bringing the total number of people in the city who have contracted the virus close to 12,000.

The health department is also reporting one new coronavirus- related death.

Yesterday... the city hit a grim milestone with its 100th death.

Health officials do expect the number of cases to increase in the coming weeks because of halloween activities and in-person voting on election day.
