Joe Biden defeated Trump and was declared the 46th President of the United States on Saturday morning.
The win for Biden is also a win for Kamala Harris, the first woman of color to be elected as vice president.
With five contentious races in states where the ballot count continued and was too close to call.
It was Pennsylvania, the President-elect's home state, that finally declared Biden the winner.
Pennsylvania added 20 electoral votes to Biden's tally, pushing him beyond the 270 threshold to 284, according to AP.
Races in Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina have yet to be called.

Biden leads in all of those states except for North Carolina.
In remarks made before he was declared the winner, Biden stated it would soon be time "to unite, to heal, to come together as a nation."
