Utica's first full-tackle pro women's football team holds tryouts

-- today, the utica sports alliance held its first tryout for the city's first-ever professional full tackle women's football team they are called the utica hell cats and this will be their inaugaral season.
-- a member of the women's football alliance, this is an 11-women full- tackle football league.
The team is preparing for the 2021 season which is to start in april ken marion: everyone's used to seeing the men out there whether it's pop warner, high school, college or everything else.

Nicole caquias: it's a little late in the week to start our tryouts but due to it being our national tryout date we had to start today.
We had to wait for this gym because we can't use any other fields at this time just to get inspected and its all good to go so we can havhe it every saturday from 5-7.
Tryouts are at 726 washington street in utica every saturday until the end of december.
-- participants must follow covid-19 guidlines including face coverings and temperatures taken upon arrival.
And you must be 18 years or older to particpate.
