Dozens of people rallied in Eugene outside the federal courthouse around 3 p.m.

Saturday to celebrate what they call a “free and fair election.”

People from coast to coast are taking to the streets to celebrate and*protest -- the history-making win -- including here at home.

Kezi 9 news reporter kennedy dendy spoke with supporters of*both political parties -- to see how people in*eugene are feeling after*days of uncertainty.

Susan: "at last...it's been a long 4 years."

Dana: "just complete elation.

Thank you, god.

Thank you, universe.

Midas: "the war really starts now."

After*days and days of waiting...many are feeling a sense of relief.

Dana: "thank you citizens of this country for voting for decency, human rights, compassion, ethics.."

Susan: "i feel something missing and it's that weight and fear and heaviness and bullying and anger and name calling and divisiveness."

Dozens rallied in eugene outside the federal courthouse around 3 o clock -- celebrating what they call -- a free and fair election.

The event was put on by the community alliance of lane county -- and organizers made it clear that*violence was not welcome.

Angie: "i hope people driving by that didn't have a representative win today--i hope they know that we're for them too.

We're happy today.

We're happy because we feel like the right thing happened.

But we're there for them too."

Others say -- this is*only the beginning.

Midas: "i'm worried that some people are going to see this as an actual win and they're going to go home, and they're going to stop fighting."

Bridge: across the nation, people took the streets to celebrate on saturday.

And while emotions are still running rampant on both sides, some say the race for the white house is far from over.

While many celebrate ---*others believe the democrats won by*fraud.

Ben: "at the end of the litigation the president is pursuing if joe biden still has the majority of the legal votes, we will accept the results 100% but right now we are just asking for some transparency."

The oregon g-o-p says this is not resolved and are*demanding a quote*fair election.

Up in salem --- supporters of president trump rallied at the state capitol -- around noon --*protesting the projected results.

A right-wing 'stop the steal' protest was planned -- after joe biden was projected to win the presidency.

There was a seperate rally -- at pringles park which is*also in salem.

A group of about 200*counter protesters gathered there -- to have*their voices heard.

They later marched to the capitol -- and that's when we saw several clashes between the two.

Oregon state police say*four people were arrested during those rallies.

37 year old jeffrey mustin from eugene -- was one of them.

He's being charged with assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

In portland -- a spontaneous celebration popped up in downtown -- this morning.

Dozens joined in on a impromptu*car parade and dance*party in*pioneer square -*celebrating the results.
