Amy lanski: "i spoke to one woman from magalia who lives in this home right behind me, she moved home only two months ago.

She tells me she couldn't be happier to be back on the ridge."

Kelly macias - lives in magalia "it is so pleasant i love magalia, i will never leave magalia."

Kelly macias has lived on the ridge for over twenty years, she is loving her new home, but says it took some time to get permits approved.

Kelly macias: "statewide did a lot of it.

I just had to go over there and harass them a bit."

Macias explained her front yard was the only part of her property she didn't lose.

Kelly macias: "the bark is peeling off it is making new bark, it is so cool!"

Amy lanski: "as happy as macias is to be in her new home here in magalia, there are others from the ridge who are not as fortunate."

Cinda larimer - lives in old magalia "we were living in a garage for the last two years, we just moved out three weeks ago, we are living in a trailer on our friends property in old magalia."

Cinda larimer lived in paradise at the time of the fire.

Then her family had to move to magalia with a friend, they were about to buy property in magalia, but she said the rules made it too complicated.

Cinda larimer: "all of the entities we have to work with, whether it is the county, the town poa, they are all trying to supplement their incomes and are charging us for every little thing."

Larimer says it feels like the poa, the county, and the town of paradise are not working together.

Cinda larimer: "like when the town of paradise gave us an extra six months to be on their property.

The county gave people a year, and the poa chose to kick people off right then."

Larimer and her family are now trying to move back to paradise if they can.
