Santa Clause is coming to town - but how will COVID-19 make his visit a little different?

We're so we're so close to the holidays..

You can almost hear those sleigh bells ringing.

While it's a joyous time for many...covid-19 presents a challenge on how to celebrate.

At 5 o'clock we told you about how you can see santa this year.

Now you'll hear from one of santa's helpers on why he's excited to bring you holiday cheer.

News 10's bri shackelford joins us now to let us know his story...and what we can look forward to.

This year has been challenging for many of us.

With the holiday's approaching one man hopes to bring that same holiday cheer this year.

He's one of santa's many helpers.

His family has always helped santa through the years....so he decided he would help him out as well.

"when i was really young i would walk around and hand out candy canes to all the nursing home residents there.

And i would also do some stuff here and there."

He decided to be santa's helper because he loves the holiday spirit so much.

He says christmas is a time for celebration and joy... and now more than ever...we need that joy this year.

"we've gone through so much.

I've already seen, driving around terre haute here, i've already seen people putting up christmas decorations.

Just to kind of start that celebration, that cheer, a little earlier."

He hopes to bring the joy he feels around christmas time to everyone he meets.

One way dalton plans to do this is by making sure everyone has a chance to see santa.

He and the elves created a website where you can talk to santa...and find out where to see him.
