Fayette County Public Schools has been hit with thousands of dollars in fines for a Covid-19 outbreak at one of its school bus..

Fayette county public schools will have to pay a nine- thousand dollar fine... after an investigation..
Into a deadly covid-19 outbreak in the spring..
At one of its bus garages according to osha... it began investigating, the miles point school bus garage, on april 10, after a meeting with bus drivers and monitors was held there.
It's database shows..
It found..
Two violations.
Osha issued a penalty of $9- thousand dollars for the violations in october...but osha has not provided details on the violations.
At least 19 employees from the miles point bus garage, have tested positive for the virus.
And at least one, has died... bus driver eugenia higgins weathers.
According to school officials, the district was fined for not reporting the death in a timely manner.
The district released a statement today..
Saying quote..
"osha has completed it investigation and found no workplace violations... however the agency has fined fayette county public schools for not reporting ms. weathers' death within eight hours and not reporting the hospitalization of other employees
