Captain Chris Bryant, Salvation Army
This year, the salvation army has adopted the slogan-- rescue christmas-- to bring hope to families in our community that have been hit hard by the pandemic.
Joining us via zoom this morning is corps officer captain chris bryant.
Captain bryant, good morning.
Wait for response -your red kettles are synonymous with the holiday season, but like most things, the pandemic is throwing a curve ball.
With fewer bell ringers out there this year, how can people give to the salvation army?
-you're on the front line when it comes to bringing help and hope to those who need it most, some communities say they've seen up to a 50% increase in need this year, what is our need here in north alabama?
-money is tight for many families, and a lot of non- profits need extra help this year, for our viewers at home, why should they join in the mission to help rescue christmas, where does the money go?
-is there an angel tree this year, if so where can people go to adopt an angel?
When is the deadline to return the items?
Salvation army corps officer, captain chris bryant, thank you for your time this morning.
