Enrollment deadline approaches for Huntsville Virtual Academy

Parents in the huntsville city school district have until 11-59 tonight to register for the spring semester of huntsville virtual academy---but some parents are trying to get the district to give them a bit longer to make a decision.

Some parents made a petition to extend the registration deadline until december first because they say the district is not giving them enough time to make an informed decision.

One parent told waay 31 her two high schoolers will be doing traditional learning, but she understands why parents want to have more time to make this decision.

"i think things just are ever changing, and we just have to see what the situation bring in january, which i think makes it hard for parents to make that decision by a deadline.

I see a lot of parents complaining about it and i don't blame them because it's really hard to make these decisions so quickly when this climate of covid is changing so much."
