Thursday night in the bluegrass -- kentuckians enjoy a final night out -- because -- as of 5 pm friday -- indoor service at restaurants and bars -- is no more.
For the next three weeks -- those businesses -- now must rely on outdoor dining -- delivery -- and to go -- under governor andy beshear's new covid-19 restrictions.
"some of the servers, they won't be able to work, so having to let some of our employees take time off it's unfortunate with the holidays coming around the corner so we're just trying to build the carry out at much as we can and support all of our employees as much as we can."
Josh harris manages rockhouse on the river in henderson -- he says with the new mandates -- business will have to adapt -- "this being the second time we've had to do it, we're kind of more experienced, and we're going to implement a curbside service and different things like that and execute the drive thru better."
Changes -- all our western kentucky communities will have to make -- and it's not just restaurants and bars -- but nearly every aspect of public life.
Gyms and fitness centers -- must limit capacities to no more than 33 percent -- and everyone must wear a mask while inside for theaters and other indoor venues -- only 25 people per room social gatherings should be limited to two households -- exceeding no more than 8 people.
And if employees can work from home -- they should do so.
These restrictions are set to last through sunday -- december 13 in henderson -- vl-44news.
