Under the purple tier, places of worships must now halt indoor operations once again, Action News Now checked to see how one local church is preparing.

Now that most of our region is on tight restrictions..

Churches are finding a new way to worship.

New at 5-thirty... action news now reporter kristian lopez shows us how one congregation..

Is keeping the faith.

Kristian: for the last month and a half, calvary chapel chico had been hosting indoor church services inside of this room - but this sunday they will be hosting services right in this parking lot.

Richard marskey/administrative pastor: everybody is rolling with the punches, we are taking it as it comes and doing the best we can.

Pastor richard marskey says his church is making the best out of sudden shift back to purple- tier restrictions.

Richard marksey: we have a large lot, we can place extra parking in the field next to us we have plenty of space to space people out.

The church is preparing to move back outdoors - something they are already familiar with.

Back in june - this is what it all looked like.

Kristian stand up: right here where i'm standing is where they will be setting up around 150 chairs... this trailer is where the stage will be - and speakers will go inside these frames.

Pastor marksey says they will continue adjusting to any changing guidelines to protect their community.

Richard marksey: we're just keeping moving forward trying to worship the lord together and spread the gospel.

Kristian tag: he says they will be taking it week by week when deciding if the virtual services will be held.
