We've spoken at length about how local businesses have been impacted by the shutdown.

Kimt news three's mary peters tells us how mayor kim norton has been trying to help.

"* mayor norton has heard from small businesses that have been forced to close.

One industry she has heard from is restaurants ... she says some of those servers are out of jobs with dine?

Most places are still able to keep their cooks employed.

She also mentioned gyms and how this is important for people mentally and physically, as i have reached out to our congressional delegation with a letter last week actually, asking them to really work hard on putting together a package that will support these businesses, but also the employees affected by the order.

Mayor norton says to continue to wear masks, socially distance... especially with thanksgiving... and she hopes we can open up a little bit in a few weeks.
