Douglas County businesses and organizations feed hungry for Thanksgiving
Were given food.
Many thanksgiving events were canceled this year because of the pandemic.
But some organizations down in douglas county were*determined to keep their traditions alive.
Kezi 9 news reporter evita garza shows us how*one church was able to feed the hungry today -- all while following the safety protocols in place.

When the two-week freeze went into effect& pastor larry widener tells me they were determined to find an alternative.

However, in order to comply with the governor orders, they created this takeout option instead?
Volunteers are using one window to take people order& then the other window for pick up.
Widener says theye also recruited volunteers to deliver the meals& all over south county.
